We've been away for a few months. So much to keep us busy lately. Haven't even checked our email account until today! The weather is so much nicer, we've been taking long walks and getting lots of exercise. Our days are spent with Master B and he's bonding with us more and more everyday. Master B has taken quite a liking to Dakota and Dakota welcomes the love and affection. I've turned out to be quite the watch dog. I don't really like strangers, especially when I'm out at night taking a walk. I live to protect my family. Hope all is well in the world out there. Much love to our friends and pals. We miss everyone.

Oh where oh where have we been..........

Busy, busy, busy! Just wanted to stop in and say hello. We've missed the Essex and Sherman updates, so we wanted to tune in and see what's going on. Oh & we had to keep up with the Edward(s)!

Dakota keeps getting bigger and will be catching up with me shortly. We are both glad the cooler weather is here. We get to go for long walks now and don't mind being outside. You'd think Dakota was going to turn to dust in the sun, couldn't take it. I guess it's the black fur......maybe he'll shed and become sable? Nah...........we love him as he is. He's so alert. I like to kick back and relax, he's always listening for things and seems to be very protective. Master B's mommy keeps calling him a Rollie (she says Dakota is part Rottweiler) Puh-leez! All is pretty quiet here at home. Since Master B has been sleeping forever (super long day in the pool) & mommy is catching up on the episodes of Vampire Diaries that she missed last season, I figured I'd show off my pearly whites. All these fangs make me want to strike a pose!

New toys

 Dakota was due for another round of puppy shots yesterday. When we go it has become tradition to stop at Petsmart for new toys. Dakota is a champ at walking on the shiny floors of Petsmart. Shiloh still refuses to walk on them and puts the brakes on. This has become quite a challenge. I am thinking because Dakota doesn't fear the shiny floors, for the next trip I will take both the collies...........Shiloh will most likely walk on them when he sees that Dakota can with no problem. *Fingers crossed*

Patience, grant me patience!

Yesterday wasn't as hot & humid so we took advantage of the nice weather for some outside play. The boys had a really nice time & we continue to look forward to fall. Already thinking about Halloween costumes, puppies included!

Cowboys and Indians

"Indian Shiloh lived on this land, until Cowboy Dakota arrived and tried to stake a claim........ what Shiloh and Dakota have a hard time realizing is they both can live here on the same land, in peace and harmony." 

For the most part, we've been getting along great. There are occasions when we have to be separated. I have been getting a bit jealous when time is spent with the puppy. But one pet for Dakota means one pet for me. I want both pets! hummm....

Dakota is still a baby. He makes bellyaching whimpers during the night. He seems so sad and it makes me upset because I am right there with him. He's not alone at all. I guess he just misses the freedom at the barn and his brother and sisters.  

I can't wait until this really hot summer is a memory. I long for the cooler season that I keep hearing about. I know we will be going on longer walks and we keep hearing about running on the sand near the ocean. Ahhhh, sounds good. 

It will get cooler, I promise.

Getting Settled In

All is finally quiet now. Everyone appears to be well adjusted and settled in. These are the moments, the precious moments to be treasured always. 

Home Sweet Home

With open paws, I am happy to welcome Dakota to his new home. Our first meet & greet was exciting, to say the least. We sniffed one another rolled in the grass, gave some licks, it was amazing. I recognize his scent, he's family!

 After that long car ride, Dakota's wide awake!

Suspicious Mind

I had the best day.

I played, I hung out with Master B.

Then it happened. A new sleep space came out, (you know the one I have to stay in while I am in my chew phase) new toys, even another set of bowls - JUST like mine!!!!

What's going on? 

I'm highly suspicious!!

I needed to check things out.

I think this will fit thru if I tug enough. 

I think I am getting that buddy they've been telling me about. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I keep giving my mom those sad eyes and acting quite confused. She keeps telling me we have to share Master B. Not sure how I feel about that either. I guess we will see what tomorrow brings!
